This powerfully penetrating serum is a combination of vitamin C, liposomes of antioxidant vitamins, and free radical scavenging superoxide dismutase. The vitamin C in this serum is in the form of an ascorbic acid polypeptide complex, which, in contrast to the synthetic vitamin C, is highly stable. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis where the melanocyte cells are located. These cells produce the protective brown pigment, melanin, when exposed to UV light. This serum helps reduce melanin to a colorless substance, which inhibits the formation of freckles, excessive darkening of the skin, “age spots” and possibly precancerous lesions such as melanoma.

Superoxide dismutase, a yeast-derived enzyme-based liposome, allows for deep penetration of nutrients into the skin. It also is extremely effective in “eating up” destructive radicals and will help reduce or reverse free radical damage caused by smoking, stress, poor nutrition and overexposure to the skin.
